Community Involvement

We love our community and giving back is really important to us as a small family business. Here are just a few things we are involved in or are passionate about.

When you have a chance take a look.

We had 2 wonderful opportunities last month to volunteer.

The first was serving dinner for the veterans at The Baltimore Station. This is an amazing organization that gives veterans a place to stay while working on their recovery.

The other was our yearly Rebuilding Together project. This years home was in Middletown , Md and Nathan was able to help put in a front door as well as a floor. This is such a great experience for all of the volunteers.

Nathan and I were happy to help out the Baltimore Humane Society for their Holiday Open House Today. Stop by and see if you can adopt a new friend 🙂 Lots of kitties to choose from!  https://bmorehumane.org/

Although he will be moving on to high school, Nathan was very proud to help install the door we donated to North Carroll Community School’s new campus.

We had a great day for our annual Rebuilding Together Project. Nathan was a big help in clearing all of the debris from several trees that had to be removed.

Another incredibly successful Bingo for Shepherds Staff.  Their proceed go towards their Back to School program.  This is the basket that we sponsored.

Each year the Career and Technology Center in Frederick builds a new house from the ground up! It has been our pleasure to partner with Mr. Frank Taylor and his students for over 10 years.  This is Nick showing some students how to hardware a garage door.

We are OBSESSED with our local libraries and this is just one of the really cool things they offer. This was a day of mini golf at the Eldersburg Library that they do every year in June. So Fun!!     http://library.carr.org/

2016-bts[1]

The Shepherds Staff of Westminster is an amazing organization that does so much for our community. On June 20, 2016 they start to take registration for their Back to School Program. Registration will run until July 15th. They will hand out over 1,000 back packs filled with school supplies to children in need in our community. As well as shoe vouchers, chapter books and many other needed items to get the kids off to a great start!

I have volunteered for this program for several years now and it is incredible to see how excited the kids get when they get their new stuff 🙂

If you would like to donate or volunteer please call 410-857-5944 or visit www.shepstaff.org. Their hours are M-T-F 10-2 and Th. 3-7.
